CBSE Class 10 & 12 Result Date 2020
The plea seeking cancellation of the remaining CBSE exams was due to COVID19 heard by the Supreme Court bench led by J AM Khanwilkar. The results for both class 10th and 12th board exams would be declared by July 15 based on internal exams.
The affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court by the board has taken into consideration the reports submitted by the states. In effect, the board has decided not to conduct the exams from July 1. SG Mehta, Lawyer from the board’s side, said that all the Class 10 examinations have been cancelled. Class 12 examination, however, is optional for students.
He also said, “CBSE has a scheme in which marks scored in past 3 exams will be taken into account. For Class 12, the exams will be conducted as soon as the situation is conducive. Marks for the students who opt for the class 12 examination will have that marks as final.”
CBSE Class 12 students have to share their decision of opting for the exam or not. The dates for the same will be announced by the board soon. Candidates will be awarded the marks based on the three previous examinations, as scored by the student.
