CSIR- UGC NET 2018: Online Registrations end today


NEW DELHI: The online registration for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC NET will be closing today, i.e. October 15, 2018. Those who aspire to take the text and are yet to apply can do so by visiting the official website for the test- csirhrd.res.in. The eligibility test is scheduled to be conducted on December 16, 2018.

The last date of application has received an extension from October 15 to 17 already. It is anticipated that there will be no further extension of the online application date. Students are advised to apply as soon as possible.

CSIR-UGC NET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Only those who fulfil the eligibility criteria for the test will be able to participate in the exam. The eligibility criterion for CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test states the following conditions to be met to apply:

  • Candidates with M.Sc or equivalent degree: Integrated BS-MS, BS-4 years, BE, B-Tech, B-Pharma, and MBBS with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) can apply.
  • Sc (Hons) or Integrated MS-PhD program students with at least 55% marks for general, and 50% for reserved categories, can apply.
  • Maximum age of the applicant should 28 years old as by July 1, 2018.
  • OBC applicants get a relaxation of 5 years, and reserved categories of 3 years in age.

CSIR-UGC NET 2018 Online Registration

The application/ registration for the exam will be done through the exam portal for CSIR-UGC NET, csirhrdg.res.in. The application form can be filled using ‘Internet Explorer’ only. If you use any other browser to apply you will be asked to exit and use Internet Explorer when you try to proceed.

The examination fee for the exam is Rs. 1000 for general category applicants, Rs. 500/- for OBC and Rs. 250/- for reserved category applicant.
