ESIC 2018 prelims exam result has been announced by Employees’ State Insurance Corporation of India on November 16. The result has been declared in the PDF format, which consist of qualified candidates roll numbers. The recently announced result is of ESIC 2018 prelims examination which was held on November 3. The examination was conducted for recruitment of various post like Social Security Officer/Manager Grade-II/Superintendent to name few.
Along with the result, authorities have also released the cut off of ESIC 2019 for prelims exam. Not only this, has also announced the date for the mains examination which is going to be held on December 15, 2018.
ESIC 2018 Cutoff
According to the released data by the authorities, the overall cutoff for the open/unreserved category candidates is 71, whereas, for OBC, the overall cutoff is 66.25 out of 100 marks. Talking about SC and ST candidates, the for them is 62 and 57.50 respectively. So, the candidates who wish to appear for the Mains examination will have to secure the sectional as well as overall cutoff of the prelims.
What Official Data States?
As per the officials, 6202 candidates have been shortlisted for appearing in the subsequent phase of the recruitment, that is, Mains examination. Further, data released by the authorities indicates that maximum number of candidates that have qualified the Prelims are from unreserved category (3028). The number is followed by OBC (1420), SC (851) and ST 228.
Figures states that for the recruitment year 2018-19, there are 539 vacancies for recruiting Social Security Officers/Managers Grade-II/Superintendents. Though ESIC shortlists candidates, 10 times the number of total vacancies from the preliminary examination for appearing in Mains exam, however, 812 more candidates than the capping of 10 times have been shortlisted for the mains test.
