NEW DELHI: The stage 1 of the National Talent Search Examination or NTSE 2019 for Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Andaman & Nicobar where exam will be held on November 03, 2018. For the rest of the states the exam will be conducted on November 04, 2018. Applicants are advised to keep their admit cards ready.
NTSE stage 1 is conducted on state level by SCERT’s or other state educational boards. And stage 2 is conducted by NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) on national level. Students who qualify the stage 1 will be called to Delhi to attend the stage 2 of the talent search on May 12, 2019.

NTSE 2019 Stage 1 Examination Pattern
The exam paper of stage 1 will be divided into two tests, MAT (Mental Ability Test), and SAT (Scholastic Ability Test). The tests are explained in the points below.
- MAT is conducted to test the problem solving, and logical reasoning of the candidate.
- SAT is conducted to test the scholarly learning of the students with the academic curriculum of his/her school.
- The exam is conducted for a total of 200 marks where both MAT and SAT tests carry 100 marks each.
- Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.
About NTSE 2019
The National Talent Search Examination or NTSE 2019 will be conducted in two stages, stage 1 and 2. Candidates who successfully clear both the stages will be eligible to avail merit- based scholarship from the following academic session.
