LUCKNOW: Students who will be appearing in the UP board exams in 2019 have hailed the new exam pattern under which they will have to give only one paper in each subject. Recently, the pre-board exams were conducted in different schools under the new pattern and students expressed their happiness over the newly introduced change.
Speaking to our correspondent, one of the students, Radhika, who gave the pre-board exam for class XII, stated, “The new exam pattern is very good and it will put less stress on the students, they will be able to perform better and score more marks.”
It was last year that the board had introduced changes in the exam pattern and students in Class XII would have to merely appear in one paper. Another student Sunita, who spoke to our correspondent said, “The short answer questions were very helpful as I could answer them in less time and I can score well also in such type of questions.” Meanwhile, in the Hindi paper, students will have to write the biography in 80 words as compared to 150 words. Another change is in the word count of essays wherein , the students will have to write it in 250 words as compared to 300 words in the past.
