Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared UPSC Civil Services result 2019 for preliminary exam on July 12. Candidates who appeared in the exam on June 2 can check their result from the official website of UPSC- upsc.gov.in. The result of UPSC Civil Services 2019 is available in PDF format along with roll numbers of the qualified candidates.
A total of 11,845 candidates have qualified in UPSC Civil Services 2019 prelims exam. All these candidates who have qualified in UPSC Civil Services 2019 prelims exam will be eligible to appear for mains exam. According to the schedule, UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2019 will be conducted from September 20 to 24.
As per the exam pattern, UPSC Civil services mains exam consists of nine papers where Paper A (Indian Languages) and Paper B (English) are qualifying in nature and the remaining seven are compulsory papers. The total marks UPSC Civil Services mains exam is 1750.
Candidates need minimum 25% marks in qualifying papers as well as in compulsory papers. After preliminary, the next stage of the selection process will have the Personality Test. Candidates who will qualify in the mains exam will have to appear for the Personality Test which is expected to be conducted in February 2020.
While calculating the final result of UPSC Civil Services exam, the marks obtained in all seven compulsory papers of the mains exam and personality test result will be taken into consideration.
UPSC conducts Civil Services Exam annually for the recruitment of candidates for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services Group A and Group B. A total of 896 vacancies have been announced for 2019 recruitment.
