The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) will witness a change in the exam pattern, as the test for different courses will be conducted in offline mode. The decision has been taken by the committee of the UPSEE. Till now except for B.Tech and B.Pharm, the entrance test for all other courses was conducted in online mode.
Changes in UPSEE 2019 Schedule
The coordinator of UPSEE, Vineet Kansal stated that initially the exam was conducted on different dates. However, according to Kansal, all the exams would be conducted in one or two days and the committee is examining which are the papers that can be removed. Discussions are on with regard to the proposed changes in the syllabus as well.
Reason to go Offline?
Vineet Kansal held the view that the decision was taken to conduct the exam in offline mode as it will be more convenient for the students of rural area. Owing to the paucity of exam centres in the rural areas, the decision to go offline has been taken.
Owing to a large number of seats remaining vacant, the UPSEE committee decided to hold the exam in offline mode. In 2018, merely 29,000 seats out of the total 1.5 lakh were filled.
